VBDC Candidate – Treasurer: Louis Stadlin
My name is Lou Stadlin and I am running for Treasurer of the Virginia Beach Democratic Committee. The election will be held on Wednesday January 6 at 7PM sharp at the Bayside Public Library on Independence Blvd.
I am running because I want to make the VBDC a greater force in politics in Virginia Beach and as far out as we can reach.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I joined the Navy in 1947 and spent 5 years as a sailor. The Navy gave me my career as a Electronic Technician.
I was in business for 30 years in selling and servicing Marine Electronic equipment to the offshore fishing fleets in Hampton Roads and the East coast.
I am a widower. I was married for 36 years. I have 4 children- a girl, a boy and a set of twin boys.
I am a life long Democrat. I only strayed twice – Eisenhower and Senator John Warner.
I have a computer and know how to operate a spread sheet and usually can add one and one and not get 3.
I am asking for your vote so I can do what I can to move the VBDC forward.

I am not a Democrat. However if I was a dues paying member of the DPVC my vote would be for Lou. He strayed from voting Democrat just often enough from the examples he gives. (I am wondering just how old he is if he was around to vote for Eisenhower however.)

Pardon me, he joined the Navy in 1947. He certainly is old enough to have voted for Eisenhower. He is just what the Democrats need… wisdom comes with age and his appeal shows that despite his age, he is still as sharp as a tack.

Lou, I hope that you have been pitching-in to help Bill Fleming’s campaign and are urging everyone in the D-team to get out and vote on Tuesday, January 12th.
By demonstrating your support for Bill Fleming, you will be showing the VBDC that you are ready to lead by example.

Lou and I share a lot in common, our visions of a stronger VBDC and our commitment to making that happen. I look forward to working with him, whatever the outcome of the election.
