The Rita Sweet Belitto appointment makes zero political sense. FYI, I had thought Prescott Sherrod and Dave Redmond were the frontrunners.

Worst part: we now have to have another School Board appointment.

Yes, Ben is gone. As a VBTAer, he didn’t have a snowball’s chance. In addition, he’s made repeated public rumblings about wanting to move out of the area, which makes his commitment to Virginia Beach look weak at best.

Henry: The topic is Jackson. I didn’t think hijacking the discussion from everyone was proper. Your second tier is still a “nonplayer” in the city council selection process. And I pointed out that Reba doesn’t have a chance with Davis and Sessoms on the council. They will likely pick a republican who will support higher taxes, more spending on big dollar projects and somebody who will not make waves.

Hate to say it but they don’t really care if the candidates are good or not. Its about politics… Jackson still has no chance and I haven’t heard about his quals to date…
