Can you believe Obama couldn’t get health care reform passed i keep asking myself why did i vote for this man.

I’m not sorry I voted for him (remember the alternative?)
Don’t give up on President Obama so soon. He isn’t a dictator (despite what some Republicans say). He has to work with a disfunctional Congress.
About one third of Congress is composed of obstructionist Republicans who would vote against mom and apple pie if Obama was for it, just to deny him a legislative victory. (If you think I am exaggerating, Republicans already voted against tax cuts and defense appropriations, and they are getting ready to vote against a jobs bill).
On the other hand, getting the Congressional Democrats to unite is like trying to herd cats.
There is still a pretty good chance that comprehensive health care reform will be passed this year, for no other reason than it is good politics for Democrats (as you can see by the poll). They will be demonized by Republicans for voting for it anyway, but they don’t have anything positive to show for it. Passing it will energize the Democratic base and demonstrate they can get something done. Nothing succeeds like success.
