Hmmm, I am supposed to be on Glenn’s email newsletter list and I just checked to see if I received it and I did not. Does he have more then one email list? I have been receiving at least some of his mailings in the past.

It was a fundraiser, LD. I got it perhaps because I gave him $ in the past?

Ah, I guess that explains it. My wife will not allow me to make political contributions so I guess I can not get on the special mailings list.
For those of you who wonder who wears the pants in my family, both of us have one leg in the pants. Both of us must agree to accomplish anything. While this does introduce some difficulty in making decisions, I must confess that allowing my wife half the say has, looking back, been a good thing. She gets half the credit when things go good and she must share half the blame when things turn out not so well. But with her input, things have actually turned out for the better more often then not. We too share in the hard times, but our hard times have not been as difficult as many experience. My wife just distrusts anyone running for office. She thinks it is enough if they get her vote and that is enough to be disappointed about.

“allowing”????? David, you “allow” your wife half the say?

Brian,
Yeah, I allow her that. She’s lucky if she gets that if we listen to the Bible. Perhaps Brian will lead us with the Bible verse that explains why I am wrong to do that. I do not think the Bible verse exists that condemns me for asking my wife to be my equal.

LD:
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Ephesians 5:22-33
Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,
1 Peter 3:1-3

Thanks Wally,
But my wife is submissive to me when I command her to be my equal right?
