Glenn Nye: If I were king of the fore-e-e-est

The Virginia Organizing Project along with Health Care for America Now and local community members will be visiting Congressman Glenn Nye’s Virginia Beach office on Friday, March 26 at noon to remind the Congressman that there is more at stake with health care reform legislation than his political career. The group will present Nye’s staff with statistics on the local benefits of health care reform along with a medal to give the Congressman the courage to fight harder next time for the people of his district.

Local residents will highlight the personal benefits they will experience now that health care reform has passed:

• Matt Masterson of Virginia Beach will no longer fear for the health of his son with Diabetes who has been discriminated against due to pre-existing conditions.

• College student Amber Stanley (21) of Virginia Beach will be able to stay on her parent’s health insurance plan until she is 26.

• Mildred Nichols of Virginia Beach (80) will get help with her $100/month prescriptions and will no longer be stuck in the Medicare Part D donut hole.

My dad’s favorite when goofying with the grandkids… Put ‘em up, put ‘em up! I’ll fight you with one paw tied behind my back. I’ll fight you standing on one foot. I’ll fight you with my eyes closed.

Do you honestly think it’s OK for a 26 yo to be still living off their parents? What happened to the American spirit of independence and sacrifice for the good of the nation? Why don’t we just do what Italy does and assume each generations possessions and debts and form matriarchal societies? No one serves anymore. No one feels for America anymore. Why? Because over the last twenty years we have led our children down the primrose path that no mater what happens they are still faultless and they will never fail and they will be bailed out of any difficulty as long as they cry or say please!!
