Nye to Reconsider his Bad Health Care Vote?
“Nine House Democrats indicated in an Associated Press survey Monday they have not ruled out switching their ‘no’ votes to ‘yes’ on President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, brightening the party’s hopes in the face of unyielding Republican opposition”. Could one of those 9 include our own Rep. Glenn Nye?

Rep. Nye is still being evasive: “His spokesman told The Virginian-Pilot that characterization is not exactly right. ‘The congressman is going to read every bill before deciding how to vote on it,’ Clark Pettig said. ‘We don’t have a bill yet.’”
As I have pointed out previously, the bill that already passed the Senate by a 60 vote super-majority meets or exceeds every single one of Nye’s 7 principles for health care reform.

If Nye thinks voting no will spare him the GOP wrath on Election Day, he is sadly mistaken. No matter how he votes, they will attack. No matter if he voted a straight GOP ticket, the candidates are going to be after his seat.
Nye should stand up and vote FOR the Healthcare bill if it meets his own principles. I would rather he stand up for change and helping the citizens than vote no and get himself re-elected.
I’m not happy with Nye’s voting record to date but with one vote, he will reearn my support and personal help in his next election bid.
