Scott “Do I have a Deal for You” Rigell
Ha! The DCCC sent me a funny email today. “Last time someone spoke out of the both sides of their mouth this much, they were trying to sell a Pinto”, writes Southern Regional Press Secretary Jesse Ferguson.
Scott “Blah, blah, blah, bad Obama” Rigell is a car salesman. Yet despite his opposition to all things Obama, he was all too happy to rake in the cash from the Feds for “Cash for Clunkers”… $450,000 worth of happy.
Rigell is also trying to sell himself as a dyed-in-the-wool Repug despite his $1,000 donation to Obama in 2008, albeit pre-primary and supposedly as a “protest donation” against Hillary Clinton. Bwaaa!!!

One of the more interesting stats I saw during the whole Cash for Clunkers business was that 85% of all campaign contributions from car dealers go to Republicans. It came up in the context of some GOPer complaining that the program was a payoff for Democratic car dealers. It was hard not to laugh.

Don’t blame Scott. He is not alone in this issue. The entire Republican structure in Virginia is happy to take the Fed money while they complain about federal spending. Use Virginia Beach republicans as an example: They are getting tens of millions for roads but complain everyday about Congress and the President in Washington and the spending.
Think of the bailout funds. How many Republican businessmen got billions in bailouts like those at AIG or whatever. The list goes on and on… Scott looks bad for taking the money but so do they all…

His donation to Obama was on March 10th, 2008, after super tuesday. He now claims it was an anti-hillary donation. Interesting.The writing was on the wall by then for Obama. He will say and spend anything to be elected, don’t be fooled.
