That was this morning. The spill has now growing to 2,233 square miles, and is within 22 miles of shore. “Crews may set fire to burn off leaked Gulf oil” reports the AP. It’s a $100 million effort to clean up the spill that’s leaking 42,000 gallons of crude oil a day.
“Drill baby drill” says Governor McDonnell.

So what’s your plan? Let’s stop drilling all together and see what happens next. Though cliche, you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet. The unfortunate peace dividend of the last 2 decades is we are so risk adverse, hot @McDonalds coffee is too much for us to handle. Thank God we did not have that same spirt when we were fighting back the Nazi’s, the Germans, the British, famine and plague. But I guess you would have figured out a way to tax Hitler to death.
