I’m now three months behind on my mortgage, and Paul and the three terrible teenagers don’t have health insurance. It should be interesting to see what help is out there and what we’re actually qualified for. So come along, boys and girls, for the fun and adventure. Let’s take that Obama pony for a ride. Yeee-ha!

I would suggest writing your Congressmembers and asking what help might be available. They should definitely be doing something!

I guess the Sierra Club does not pay that well? And they do not provide health care coverage either?
Is your husband out of work? If he is willing to consider taking up long haul trucking, I can advise him on how I went about getting started. It involves long periods of time away from home, but the money is pretty good. You do have to have a fairly clean driving record, but training is free for qualified applicants. If he is interested, you know my email address and I can then provide a phone number for discussion. But be quick, I might be headed out on the road as early as tomorrow and while on the road I rarely have the ability to check my Email.
While even the trucking industry was throttling back on hiring during the depths of the recession, freight has been picking up a little bit recently. Trucking companies are again starting to advertise for applicants so I guess they would not be spending the money on advertising unless they were not going to be doing any hiring.

Wow I pity your children that they get to read you referring to them as “the three terrible teenagers” on your blog. If that is whom you’re talking about.

Why are you three months behind on your mortgage? Why do Paul and the three terrible teenages not have health insurance? What are you looking for President Obama to do that you cannot? What are you looking for a free ride from him for?

I dont think she literally meant the “three terrible teenagers.” While its noble to work for a good cause, I would always have to put myself in a position where I can live the lifestyle I want. Maybe its time to use your skills for a higher paying organization even if you have to sacrifice working in politics.

I identified with Eileen’s description of her children. My children are a yoke around my neck. It is a terrible but yet wonderful burden.
But this terrible burden provides me with motivation to continue living. Are they worthy? Nope. But looking back I was unworthy of my parents efforts either. Wisdom comes with age and my kids are not yet old enough to display any of it.
