VB’s GOP GA Delegation No Shows at McDonnell Town Hall
I attended Gov. McDonnell’s Town Hall meeting at ODU on Monday night. This meeting was all about McDonnell pushing his agenda which I assume is supported by all his minions in the General Assembly. Yet few of his foot soldiers could bother showing up.
Democrats outnumbered Republicans at this meeting 3-2. Showing up were Sen. Ralph Northam, Del. Lynwood Lewis, and Del. Paula Miller for the Dems, and Del. Chris Stolle and Del. Glen Oder for the Repugs. Where was Iaquinto, Purkey, Tata, Knight, Villanueva?

Virginia Beach Republican City Committee was at the same time, Eileen. Are you really that dense?

So they were attending a monthly meeting of the VB GOP?

The two meetings were scheduled for the same time? The local meeting wasn’t rescheduled to accomodate the Governor’s visit? Are they really that
dense?uncoordinated? (gratuitous insult deleted).August 13th, 2010 at 7:20 am

I will admit it is much easier to coordinate the Democrat elected officials, few that there are.
When the Governor, Lt. Governor, Atty. General, all Beach Delegates and Senators and most of the Constitutional officers, City Council and School Board are Republicans, scheduling can be difficult.
Much easier for Phil Kellam to coordinate with himself.

Yes, it was a mighty difficult task scheduling Delegates Purkey, Tata, Iaquinto, Knight and Villanueva to attend the GOP meeting and to choose that meeting over the Governor’s town hall.

I’d be willing to bet not a single damn one of those GOPper delegates attended the VB GOP meeting. I bet they blew off both meetings.

What would you be willing to bet? Holding a “Drill, baby, Drill” sign at the oceanfront?
