Bwaaaaa! I stumbled across this page looking for a website for School Board candidate Carray Banks. They had nothing on Carray, but I wonder who’s on this secret “Political Operative” list???

I laugh, but perhaps I should instead be a little sad. The days of fearmongering aren’t over yet. Why are these people so anxious to return to the days of yore, some even reminiscent of the McCarthy era.

But then with articles such as this, can they ever be taken seriously? Back to laughing! Bwaaaaa!!!

    Eileen,

    The link you provided does provide an object for discussion. When deficit spending is such a concern, how much of the spending should go towards the arts? What if we are forced to decide between subsidizing the symphony or feeding the hungry child? Right now we are going wild with the charge card and one day we are going to be forced to live within a budget. When we look at the budget how much money is justified to pay for the arts at the expense of just one more child goes hungry?

    We have got to live within a budget.
