Brian Moran for DPVA Chair
What we need right now is a DPVA Chair who can embody what it is to be a Virginia Democrat. Brian Moran can craft our collective position on a huge variety of issues, from the environment and energy, to public safety and education, to civil rights and immigration.
Also, as a former House Democratic caucus chair, Brian knows what types of initiatives will or will not fly in the General Assembly. Thus our Virginia Democratic platform from which our 2011 and 2012 candidates base their campaigns will be grounded and realistic.
Under Brian’s chairmanship, the DPVA could finally have one unified platform that could be easily understood and farmed out to volunteers and candidates. No more ducking the question “What do Virginia Democrats stand for?”

Brian,
My gosh, you were quick with that one.
Eileen,
Who else is running for the position?

Hey, I’ve had some thoughts. What about Glenn Nye? If not Glenn, then how about Tom Perreillo? Both of those guys might be interested.

I don’t think Nye would be interested, after all it’s not the IPVA.
I think Brian would do a good job, not a member of central but would like to see him win.

Peter Rousselot is also running and, in my opinion, is a vastly better candidate for a host of reasons. Check out http://www.peterforchair.com/ for his platform, and see http://notlarrysabato.typepad.com/ for a host of reasons why Brian’s candidacy is a problem.
